Maybe I'll humor someone

So, it's been awhile.  I've decided to humor those people who keep telling me to update.  We'll see if I have to say anything interesting.

Life has been awesome!  Pregnancy is going great. I love it actually.  Does anyone else find that when your baby kicks inside of you it sometimes feels really weird?  Most the time it's fun, but sometimes I'm like woah...what's in there?
My next appointment is in a few hours.  I love the clinic.  I switched to the midwives halfway through my pregnancy.  That was a tough decision, at first, but I love them.  I feel, much more understood.  At the other clinic I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after each visit.  Anyway, the midwives are so fun.

In other news, Will and I turned 24! I absolutely love celebrating a birthday with him!  I was destined to share a birthday with someone, I guess.  It's great though because we get all these free thing!  Saturday night we went out to eat at Red Robin w/ some friends.  We both got their free burger email so we only paid $3 for the tip!  We still have to use our coldstone & baskin robbin coupons this week.  Yum!  Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes and for visiting w/ us!

I'm going crazy awaiting my sister's return.  I don't know what I'm more anxious for, our baby girl or my sis.  But, they both are only 8-9 weeks away!  (Our baby is "due" on the 9th, but I think she'll come late...)

I finished teaching in May, and to pass the time, I started tutoring some of the students from the school and also volunteering at the R. Museum.  It's a tiny little museum, but it's been fun.  I'm a nerd, so it's perfect.  I can read all the history books I want to when I'm there too!  I've also been reading a gazillion books about pregnancy and birthing and child rearing.  I'm learning a lot!  People say there is nothing you can do to prepare.  Sure every child is different, but I've learned some strategies and tools that, I'm sure, will help.

Will graduated in Psychology and got a job doing PSR work!  We're moving to IF on Saturday.  YEA!  We live in a small 1 bedroom apt. now, so I'm quite ecstatic w/ all the room we'll have.  We even have a garage!  Will is now stressing over Grad schools.  He's going to take the GRE soon. I think, he'll break the record for high score.  He's so smart.  He's been studying like crazy too.  His dilemma is which program to apply for and where to apply.  We know for sure he'll apply to a few in MN, MO, and possibly even AR.  (I thought for sure we'd go west or east coast, but now we're wanting to stay closer to family.)

The only other things to mention is our vacation.  The grandparents drove up for Will's graduation.  We had a lot of fun w/ them up here.  Then they drove us down to AR.  I would have loved to stay longer there, but alas, our time went quickly.  We took Will to Branson and also ate at Lambert's cafe.  AMAZING!

Check it out!  IT's so good.  It's completely southern cooking and amazing.  The coolest thing though:  they throw rolls!  A guy walks around with a cart of freshly made rolls.  You stick your hand up in the air, and he'll throw you one.  Obviously, you can wait until he comes closer.  Will didn't, of course.  Anyway, I loved it.

Then we went to MN for our family reunion.  It was so nice to see everyone.  We spent the last week with my other grandparents.  FUN!  They live on the lake, so we were out there a lot.  It was so hot, so it was perfect.

Well, that's an update.  Here's some pictures:

Hurray for blog updates! I agree with you that sometimes baby movements just feel weird, and sometimes just the thought that there is a baby inside you.....weird.

I think that reading birthing/child rearing books are good to help you know what is coming and to feel more comfortable. I've taught child dev. before so I know all kinds of things and what to expect, but of course also having had a baby I also agree that not much can prepare you for it. It's unlike anything you've ever done. It's completely physically and emotionally draining. But as most will tell you, it's also worth it :)

I'm so excited for your baby and for Amy to come home! It's so crazy how the time goes by so fast. Roger will get home next April, and Mark is in the MTC as of yesterday! I can't believe my baby brothers are so grown up! I'm glad you updated your blog. I like reading about your life, and I'm glad you've been having such a fun summer!

I LOVE Lambert's cafe! I went there when I lived in the good ole South. We went in Missouri though. It's nice to read about how you and Will are doing! It sounds like such an exciting time in your lives! :)
