So, about a week ago, Sandy and I were wondering what was to become of our lives in Rexburg. She hadn't gotten ehr student teaching placement, and the end of the semester was nearing. We were hoping to move out of our apartment, since we're paying way to much for how little our apartment is, and also because there was someone else who was getting married who wanted to buy our contract.
Now, one week later, we have an apartment in Rigby, and Sandy has received her placement. What happened was that after talking with a friend Sandy found out that she could talk to the people in charge of her placement to find out at least what city she'd be in. She did so, and found out she'd be in Rigby. Upon finding that out, we started searching for a new apartment. Non-single housing in Rexburg is a very hot commodity in Rexburg, and we were constantly looking at the classifieds for the next few days. Then on Friday night we saw a listing for a basement apartment in Rigby, and went and looked at it the next day. It was quite a bit cheaper than our current apartment, and more spacious, with a washer and dryer in the apartment. We decided we liked it, but the problem was the land lord was out of town until Tuesday, and there were some other people looking at it. Well, on Monday I got a call, saying that if we were willing to sign a 15 month contract that day, it was ours. So, we drove down to Rigby to sign it. Amidst other hopeful tenants calling, we signed the contract (there were 3 others hoping to get the apartment) We plan to live there only until Sandy finishes her student teaching, then moving back to Rexburg. We don't think we'll have any trouble selling the contract. Or, at least we hope we won't. I'm especially excited to live there because the landlord is from Mexico, and I can finally have someone with whom I can speak Spanish.
The move is pretty much the biggest news in our life. Other than that, life is pretty normal. Sandy is still teaching at Shumway, and isn't looking forward to having to say good bye to her students. She's also still working at Western Watt's, and got hit on again the other day by one of the people she called. Once again, she didn't know where the fellow lived, in order for me to pay him a visit. Well, probably me and like 10 others, since like I stated in another post, I'm kind of a wimp.
In other news, last Sunday there were no other members of the relief society presidency, so I got to go with Sandy to nursery. That was fun.
For Thanksgiving we're making the journey of 30 minutes to Idaho Falls, and are going to hang out there for a few days. I'm excited to beat Dan, my brother, in Ping Pong. Unfortunately, that desire may not come to pass, seeing as how I was humbled last weekend in ping-pong, and am afraid my glory days have passed. Although there really are no glory days in ping pong, since no one really cares about the sport. And even if they did care, I really was never that good.
We hope all is well with anyone who reads this post, although there is probably no one that reads it than ourselves. So I hope everything is good with us when we read this blog. But obviously everything is not good, if all we are doing with our free time is reading our own blog.
