Life has been pretty crazy. I've been subbing on and off and realizing that elementary education is a lot harder than it looks. I'm giving it another try this Friday, but frankly I prefer secondary much better. I've also been taking a rape, aggression, defense (RAD) class. Basically I'm learning how to beat people up. It's awesome! Actually I'm learning a lot more than that. They have a whole manual that talks about how to defend against predators. I want to learn more about getting certified to teach the course because that would be awesome! It's a nationwide program and once you finish one course you can attend any course for free for the rest of your life!
Friday we went to watch Dan's district track meet. He's fast! He got 2nd in the 110 meter hurdles, 1st on two relay teams, and 1st in the 300 meter hurdles. He's currently in 1st in state on the latter! State is this week! We're excited to hear how he does. He was student athlete of the week a few weeks ago. KIDK interviewed him and you can watch the link:

Will's been very busy with classes and with his tutoring job. But, we've learned that the Lord is going to be expecting a little bit more from him. On Sunday Will was called to be the 2nd counselor in the Bishopric. It's a bit humbling for both of us but, we're also excited to interact with the students. President Gilbert read the calling to the ward and then had both of us bare our testimonies. I thought I was off the hook but President Gilbert got to know me pretty well when I was involved in the Heber J. Grant program and I guess he thought he could pick on me. Then Bishop Davis bore his testimony of Will's call and how it came about. Bishop's son, Colby, and Will were good friends in High School and Bishop shared a little bit of their adventures which helped the students get to know Will a bit better and even laugh at him.
Then President Gilbert personally addressed Will and I and then the whole congregation. It was a good day. I felt loved by Heavenly Father. I really am getting to like this ward. There are actually 3 married girls in the ward and I'm visiting teaching partners with one and we visit the other one. I definitely believe we were put in this ward for a purpose, one of those being that I have a lot to learn from these girls!
On a lighter note Will was on the Channel 8 news w/out even realizing it. Dan was watching the news Friday night and saw Will riding on his bike! We laugh about it because Will's riding Bonnie's bike and he's actually quite embarrassed about it. So, when he's on campus he rides where foot traffic isn't congested. But, as he was doing that last Friday he got on the news! HAHAHAHAHA! The sad thing: they were doing a news report at BYU-I because some one has the Swine Flu. O BOY! Don't worry, Will and I are practicing good cleaning rituals!
Well hope you enjoyed! Have a great day!

So I saw in a post back in feb that Amy is in Keiv...? My aunt and uncle are serving a mission there too! That would be so crazy if they knew each other! I will have to tell them to look out for a Sister Murphey! I know it's kind of a long & complicated connection, but it's always fun to know people that other people know!
Bahahaha, that's so funny about Will not knowing he was on the news. I guess you just can't do anything embarrassing in public these days.
I am glad I saw via Facebook your sister had a blog which in turn made me see if you did and Tada... you do! Now I can keep up with your crazy life!
MISS YA!
