April Showers

It's April! YAY!
Wow, a lot has happened since February! I finished my student teaching! Hallelujah!
It was a long haul but I survived. I surely learned a lot and I actually liked teaching economics!
History is still my favorite though. Half way through student teaching, Will and I were making plans for our future and trying to figure jobs out. We got a call in March asking if we'd be interested in managing a boys apartment complex in Rexburg. We interviewed and got the job!
So, on April 3 I spent my last day at Rigby High rushed home and started packing. With our friend Andy's amazing help we moved most of our belongings up to our new home that night! Amazing huh! So these past few weeks we've been learning the ropes about managing a boys apartment complex. It's been challenging but we really enjoy it! We don't have to pay for rent and yesterday the owners gave us a gift card to Applebee's! WOOT!

Last week I threw my first baby shower! I think I'll be throwing two more this summer. Yea for pregnant friends. Tiffanie is a good friend of ours that we met through the activities program. Will and her were both area directors. She was over talent. The first training retreat they invited spouses to go and Tiffanie's husband and I were the only spouses that went. But we hit it off. Jordan, Tiffanie's husband is a riot! They both hale from Minnesota so that makes me happy! But, we get a long great with them. It was a fun little party and I hope she had fun!

Awkward Moment Story: So, while we were moving in I noticed a car that looked familiar (it's a unique /old car) but, I didn't think anything of it. Later that night Will asks me if a guy I dated lives in the complex. I look up the tenants and sure enough we were managers for a guy I once dated. I figure we were meant to be friends.

Some Pictures of the new Place:
Our Office & my graduation present from Will, a sweet red cover for my mac!
You can kind of also see one of our plants! We bought plants! The clay pot has succulents. They are so fun!
Our apartment has 3 bedrooms! We don't know what to do with all the space!

So we created a study/storage room...
and I give you our "Spare Um" i.e. dance room/guest room.

Our sweet living room!

This is our kitchen table and our Wandering Jew. It's so pretty! It's similar to ivy and very good at re-growing if any one wants a piece!

Will's Life:
Will's glad the semester is over. He got all A's and an A-'s. That means he gets a scholarship this next semester! YAY! He's got a tough load next semester though. He's signed up for 15 credits and they are all tough classes (i.e. neuroscience...just blows me away). He's excited that he doesn't have to work at Western Watt's though! He got a tutoring job on campus for Human Anatomy. It'll will be a good experience for him. We've also been called to serve in a singles ward. Bishop Davis, an old friend of Will's and a former bishopric member in one of my old wards called Will to be his assistant ward clerk. It's way random but we're excited. Bishop Davis was also Will's Anatomy teacher so it's crazy connections on all sides!
My sister is coming up to visit this weekend and we're going to be taking her to the MTC next Wednesday so we'll have to post pictures of our crazy adventures with her. Stay Tuned!!

More Pictures:
A closer look at our succulents, they're so fun!

I can't remember the name of this one...any one know???

Sandra- with all those bedrooms, you have plenty of space to put your pictures everywhere! I'm glad you're done with student teaching! I'm thinking of heading up there in September when my family drops off Mark (he's going to be living in the dorms). Oh and who is the boy you dated? Hmmm....? Haha. That's a funny story though! :D

OK, wow, huge apartment! That managing job sounds like a fun one...a lot better than our Orem job! Can't wait to see the place in person! We are sooo planning on being in Idaho for the 4th of July. We already have our agenda planned! I have faith in Will and 18 credits! I did 20 credits one semester and did decent :-) so he can too! Kudos to you on the plants! I think I have a black thumb, seeing as how I kill all my houseplants. If only they cried when they needed nourishment like my kids do.....

Setting up a new apartment when it's just the two of you is always fun. You'll curse moving soon enough though :) Glad student teaching is over... the day I ended mine was a happy one.
Good luck managing BOYS....
