President's Day Adventures

-----------------Our Valentine's Day dinner of fondue-------------

Well, life is going on as usual for Sandy and I. She's on the downhill side of her student teaching (as in, we see the light at the end of the tunnel). This is the last week of the current trimester, and then she gets all new students, picks up another US History class and loses her Sociology class (for which the only tears she is shedding are tears of joy, because preparing 3 lesson plans a day is a bit taxing). School is going well for me. I'm thinking now that I'm going to go into Clinical Psychology. However, physical therapy isn't completely out of the picture, nor are a few other options. I'm still working at Western Watts, but not a whole lot-the economic downturn is seen even in Rexburg. We're not sure what we're going to do after Sandy's done with her student teaching. She's planning on going to Arkansas right after to see her sister before she heads off on a mission to Kiev Ukraine. We've applied for a few apartment management positions in Rexburg, and if we get one of those we'll go up there and live again.

For President's Day Sandy and I went snowshoeing to Mesa Falls with a couple of friends. Well, the plan was to go snowshoeing, but after we got going on the road (snowshoers aren't allowed on the cross country ski trail) we realized that it would be just as easy to just walk on the road where all the snowmobiles had gone, since it was packed down. So, we did that and made it to the lower falls. We didn't have time to make it to the upper falls, and so started back. When we got almost to the end, the couple we were with had the idea of her laying down, and he grabbing her feet and pushing her. So, we decided to do likewise. One of the videos shows how it turned out. The other shows me improvising what do do without a sled.

Wow, aren't you two quite the busy people!! Constantly doing fun things it looks like. So Amy got her mission call, and she's going to Ukraine?!?! Wow!! When does she leave? How was her reaction? Is she excited?
